Newsweek editor Batya Ungar-Sargon gave the impression at a loss for words about Whoopi Goldberg’s newest remarks by which she seemed to double down on her feedback about Jews and the Holocaust.

“Take into account that who they had been killing first,” Goldberg said in regards to the Nazis in an interview with the Times of London ultimate week. “They weren’t killing racial; they had been killing bodily. They had been killing people they considered to be mentally defective. And then they made this resolution.”

She apologized for her remarks.

Goldberg was trying to explain comments she made in February, after which she was briefly suspended from co-hosting The View.

On Jesse Watters Primetime, guest host Rachel Campos-Duffy asked Ungar-Sargon for her response.

“Is she ignorant or is she anti-Semitic?” Campos-Duffy asked her visitor.

“It’s a great question,” Ungar-Sargon mentioned. “I don’t think what Whoopi stated was anti-Semitic. It was incorrect to the purpose of being offensive, kind of like announcing that the Civil Conflict was no longer about slavery. If you happen to say that to one in all your Black pals you’re gonna have a combat to your arms.”

“Or they’re simply gonna assume you’re dumb,” Campos-Duffy spoke back.

“Exactly,” Ungar-Sargon said, before referencing the yellow stars of David the Nazis pressured Jews to wear. “There’s just a deep lack of understanding there. The mistake she retains making over and over is announcing, if a Nazi showed up right here and I was standing subsequent to… Jews who’ve white skin, they’d be aware of I’m Black. They wouldn’t know they’re Jewish. And it’s like, Whoopi that’s what the yellow stars have been for. In fact they see them as a separate race.”
