Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg answered on Friday night to a nasty e book, the foreword of which was once written through Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA).

Written via Louisiana political blogger Scott McKay, The Revivalist Manifesto makes use of homophobic slurs and promotes the Pizzagate conspiracy thought, which claims that Democrats ran a child intercourse trafficking ring out of a D.C. pizza parlor. As CNN’s KFile stated:

The e-book time and again disparages Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, calling the former mayor a “queer option” for the Cupboard position and saying he had “queer sanctimony” and used to be “overtly, and obnoxiously, homosexual.” At one level, the e-book labels him “Homosexual Mayor Pete Buttigieg.”

In his foreword, Johnson writes, “Scott McKay gifts a valuable and well timed contribution with The Revivalist Manifesto because he has managed right here to articulate neatly what millions of conscientious, freedom-loving Americans are sensing.”

CNN’s Erin Burnett asked Buttigieg for his reaction on OutFront. He responded:

Where do you even start with this, right? It’s 2023, I suppose 2022 when the guide came out. And we’re still speaking about folks this fashion? In response to who they’re and who they love? The usa, most of America, at the least, has moved on from this sort of thing.

And what’s obnoxious is the idea you could be coming again to race or sexuality as this creator does constantly – you realize, now not just the way he talks about me, but the way he talks about cabinet colleagues of mine. All kinds of issues that mostly appear to come back back to an obsession with identity, with both who you’re married to or what your race is, and little or no, indisputably little or no of use about methods to make this united states of america a better position.

When reached for remark, Johnson’s place of work told CNN he “never learn the passages highlighted in the CNN story which he strongly disagrees with. He wrote the foreword as a favor to a pal, supportive of the final theme of the book however no longer as an endorsement of all of the opinions expressed.”

Watch above by way of CNN.
