Chuck Todd delivered a grim evaluate of the FBI following this week’s release of Special Assistance John Durham’s record on the origins of the Russia probe.

Talking on Sunday’s model of Meet the Press, Todd argued that Durham’s discovering of “affirmation bias” inside the FBI — whereas falling in need of outright political bias impacting operations — is a troubling conclusion for the Bureau.

“This is not an FBI that will have to be ok with what Durham revealed,” Todd mentioned. “Because at a minimal, this issue of affirmation bias goes to the center of how James Comey perceived to concern so much about what the perception of the FBI used to be that he — whether it was overdid or underdid Hillary stuff, and then overdid or underdid Trump stuff.”

The Meet the Press moderator went on to name for a full-scale congressional investigation into the FBI.

“Belief within the FBI is eroding left and right,” Todd said. “Appears like we’re in the second that we’d like an actual Church Committee. This is a moment like when the J. Edgar Hoover FBI clearly was not helping the American people. There used to be a moment. This feels like we might be in a type of moments.”
