An elderly man in Ottawa on Sunday used to be wrestled by means of an Ottawa police officer — and even briefly taken to the bottom — after he honked in strengthen of truck drivers protesting Canada’s coronavirus vaccine mandates.

Video pictures on Twitter displays Gerry Charlebois, seventy eight, standing in the back of what appears to be his automotive with a police officer who advised him to show his driver’s license, insurance and vehicle registration. As Charlebois appears to be like into what appears to be his wallet, an onlooker tells him, “You don’t have to show [the police officer] the rest.”

Charlebois then closes what appears to be his wallet and tries to stroll away, but the police officer grabs his arm and repeatedly tells him he’s under arrest. The officer tries to place Charlebois’s fingers at the back of his back but Charlebois resists and in short falls to the bottom.

An onlooker yells, “Whats up! Whats up! That’s assault! I’ve got all of it on video!”

The police officer pins Charlebois towards the left facet of what appears to be his automobile and tries to apprehend him because the elderly man resists. “You didn’t ID,” stated the officer.

A second police officer seems and repeatedly says “Get again.” The officer and a protester alternate heated words.

The 2d officer helps the first officer apprehend Charlebois. The officers take Charlebois away as a bystander many times yells “Shame on you!”
