CNN anchor Chris Wallace was once shocked to examine that no longer only did X-Males superstar Hugh Jackman not recognize what a Wolverine was when he took the iconic role, he concept it used to be something else fully — a “fictional animal” that’s “section wolf.”

The latest interviews from season two of Wallace’s series Who’s Speaking to Chris Wallace characteristic Hugh Jackman and pioneering filmmaker James Cameron. In his interview with Jackman, Wallace straight-up requested the big name if he’d taken steroids to bulk up for the Wolverine role, and laughed with the big name about his lack of zoological expertise:

WALLACE: You bought so jacked for these films. Nine Wolverine films. And over the years individuals have questioned, did he juice? Did he take steroids?

JACKMAN: No, I, I really like my job. And I love Wolverine. I got to watch out what I say here, however I had been told anecdotally what the uncomfortable side effects are of that. And I was like, I don’t like it that so much. So no, I simply did it the old school manner. And I let you know, I’ve eaten extra chickens. I’m so sorry to all of the vegans and vegetarians, and to the chickens of the world. I’ve, I’ve just, I’ve actually the karma isn’t good for me. If, if the deity has the rest associated to chickens, I’m in hassle.

WALLACE: Is it genuine that you idea the Wolverine was a wolf and you began studying wolf moves? After which somebody needed to say hiya, Hugh, it’s a Wolverine. It’s now not a wolf.

JACKMAN: Chris, your analysis is superb. I had by no means learn the comedian e book. I acquired the part. I just I didn’t truly be aware of the rest about…I didn’t, in Australia we don’t have Wolverines. I didn’t know that used to be a real animal. I’d by no means heard of a Wolverine. I believed it was once a made-up animal. You know, like he’s bought man hands of steal, made up. And so I was once passing as I used to be doing rehearsal on the IMAX, they’d this documentary about wolves. And I was once like, good, as a result of clearly I’m a wolf, section wolf.

So this and I went in with all these wolf moves and I used to be doing these strikes, and the director stated, ‘What are you doing?”

And I mentioned, “Neatly, you realize, I was just pondering, wolves are all the time taking a look like this as a result of they in fact smelling, they’ve obtained their nostril to the bottom. That’s why they’re taking a look like this at all times.”

And he goes, “What do you mean a wolf?”

And I said, “Neatly, , Wolverine – I’m part wolf so…” and he goes, “No, you’re a Wolverine”

I stated, “Well, there’s no wolverines”, and he goes, “I think you want to go to the zoo.”

Actually. He mentioned to me, you want to go to the zoo, which I did. And I was very embarrassingly noticed a real lifestyles wolverine. So my analysis used to be not even one hundredth of your research, Chris.

WALLACE: But having mentioned that, if there’s ever a wolf section you might be…

JACKMAN: I’m ready. I’m absolutely, I believe I’ve got it down.

WALLACE: In reality, that appears like a wolf.
