The San Francisco 49ers scored the primary landing of Super Bowl LVIII on a trick go play to operating again Christian McCaffrey.

With 4-and-a-half minutes left in the second quarter, quarterback Brock Purdy threw it backwards to receiver Jauan Jennings. Then, Jennings threw it from one sideline to the other to McCaffrey. Thanks to a key block only a split-2d prior to McCaffrey caught the back, the running back ran straight to the tip zone without being touched.

The play gave the 49ers a ten-0 lead over the reigning champion Kansas Metropolis Chiefs. On the Chiefs’ ensuing power, the group managed to kick a container goal to enter the half down 10-3.
