CNN anchor Jake Tapper reacted with awe to the information that former FBI informant Alexander Smirnov had been charged with lying to the Bureau about President Joe Biden’s alleged involvement in shady trade dealings with Burisma Holdings.

Smirnov, whose allegations had been stated by Republicans in Congress as a part of their impeachment inquiry into Biden, used to be arrested on Thursday and charged with “mendacity to the FBI and growing false information.”

Reacting to the news on his convey The Lead, Tapper declared:
