Bill Melugin

Fox Information reporter Bill Melugin put a Twitter person on blast Friday night time for posting a video purporting to expose automobiles rolling throughout the U.S. southern border with Mexico.

“OH MY GOD A MASSIVE CONVOY OF CARTEL TRUCKS JUST OVERRAN A U.S. BORDER PATROL CHECKPOINT IN ARIZONA,” wrote a user named Matt Wallace, whose “caps lock” button was apparently stuck in the on place.

Melugin, who has essentially camped out on the border during the Biden administration, slammed the tweet.

“This man is lying for clicks again,” the reporter tweeted. “This isn’t what a Border Patrol checkpoint looks like, nor is it a CBP port of entry. I’ve been to or thru nearly all of them in AZ. Don’t know the place/what this is, however it is one hundred% not the AZ border. Seems like toll cubicles in overseas u . s . a ..”

This man is mendacity for clicks once more. This is not what a Border Patrol checkpoint looks like, nor is it a CBP port of entry. I’ve been to or through virtually all of them in AZ. Don’t understand the place/what this is, however it’s a hundred% now not the AZ border. Looks like toll booths in overseas united states of america. https://t.co/0YwH0rU5uR

Wallace’s tweet racked up more than 8,000 retweets before he in the end deleted the put up. In a reply to his personal tweet that had nothing to do with the video, Wallace touted a company and supplied customers with a promo code.

In a subsequent reply, he addressed what Melugin and others mentioned in regards to the video using 1/2-baked “reasoning.”

“Some individuals are claiming this video is of one thing else but if that’s genuine then how come nobody is announcing what else it is of then?”

Wallace has 1.4 million followers.

At least one consumer seemed to have pinpointed the foundation of the video, which used to be supposedly taken in Colombia in 2019 and posted to TikTok.
