Following the shooting, Ogles released the following observation pronouncing he was “heartbroken” over the incident:

My household and I are devastated by way of the tragedy that passed off at The Covenant Faculty in Nashville this morning. We are sending our thoughts and prayers to the families of those misplaced. There’s slim chance that Ogles will support any new gun regulate regulation. His site explains the congressman’s dedication to the 2d Modification proper to bear hands:

The Second Modification is abundantly clear that “the suitable of the individuals to keep and endure Hands, shall now not be infringed.” I will fight tirelessly to be sure that your constitutional rights are protected and by no means infringed upon. Disarming the individuals is one of the best approach to enslave them, and we must remain vigilant when any person seeks to erode our civil liberties. The rights of the folks to keep and undergo palms, give protection to themselves and their households, and prevent tyrannical rule is a basic liberty of our constitutional republic.
