Houston Astros enthusiasts showered Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) with boos right through the workforce’s championship parade on Monday. At one point, any individual threw what looked to be a can of beer at him.
The Astros downed the Philadelphia Phillies four-1 on Saturday to win the World Sequence in six video games. It’s the group’s 2d title, and the first that did not contain an immense signal-stealing scandal – as far as we know.
For some reason, Cruz was in the parade, riding in the back of a HUMV as it drove past throngs of lovers waiting to catch a glimpse of stars like Jose Altuve, Yordan Alvarez, and Sequence MVP Jeremy Peña.
In line with their reaction, lovers decidedly didn’t wish to see Cruz on the parade.

At one point, a can of (most likely) beer came flying in Cruz’s direction. It isn’t unprecedented for fanatics to toss beers and even nips at players right through championship parades. And so it’s uncertain what the thrower’s intention was. On the other hand, this specific cold one looked to be coming in sizzling – no doubt too scorching to seize for the senator, who held up his arm whereas turning his head away. A person next to him also reached out his hand to block the projectile. The person then pointed off camera, presumably to single out the thrower.
Right through the New England Patriots Super Bowl parade in 2017, one fan tossed a can of beer to tight finish Rob Gronkowski, who dutifully opened it along with his teeth earlier than chugging it and Gronk-spiking it to the bottom.
UPDATE: The Houston Police Division announced on Twitter they arrested a 33-yr-previous male suspect in reference to the incident. Police say Cruz used to be actually hit in the “chest/neck area,” but did not require clinical consideration.
