Stephen Colbert went off on former President Donald Trump on Tuesday, slamming him over a report that he tried to seize vote casting machines after the 2020 election.

“Let’s be clear, it’s troublesome after years of creating a thick, protecting callus over my heart and my mind, just to offer protection to myself from the hot, black tar of his narcissistic, evil impulses, for me to take this data in for the gargantuan and grotesque violation of the whole thing that this u . s . holds pricey,” Colbert stated on Tuesday’s Late Exhibit. “However I feel it’s price taking a moment at this time to let this sink in, just to marinate in his madness.”

Colbert, who referred to Trump as “former President Coup-ssolini,” went on to signify that his viewers at house pause the episode to take a moment to “scream right into a bag or punch a gap in the drywall.”

“To be clear, the former president, still the leader of one of the most two main events, who has all of the Republicans balls in a bit velvet pouch that he wears round his neck like an amulet, wanted U.S. troops to enter your native polling situation, grab the machines, throw them in a truck, then God is aware of what? Waterboard them ‘til they mentioned he won?” Colbert endured. “You will have to be alarmed, even supposing you voted for him. As a result of military coups do not lead to healthy societies. No one ever says, ‘If only we could emulate the commercial miracle that is Myanmar.’”

He went on to hit at Trump for working “harder” on attempted election theft than on anything right through his time in the White House, revealing the former president enlisted Rudy Giuliani to ask the Division of Fatherland Safety if they might grasp the machines.

“Have you learnt how crazy it’s important to be to hear that you’ve long gone too a ways from Rudy Giuliani?” he asked after sharing that the previous Trump legal professional believed “the idea of bringing within the military was once beyond the light.

“That’s like hearing you’ve had too much to drink — from Rudy Giuliani!” the host quipped.
