Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) ripped Democrats’ efforts to eliminate the filibuster on Sunday while arguing that the GOP “can’t depend upon Manchin and Sinema to do our job,” and should do more to get to the bottom of concerns affecting American citizens, reminiscent of inflation and provide chain issues.

With best a marginal 50-50 majority (the place Vice President Kamala Harris serves as tiebreaker), Democrats don’t presently have the votes to get rid of the filibuster, as both Sens. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) have voiced their opposition.

“I have no idea what those odds would be,” the senator answered. “But what I do know is that this: I’m grateful for commonsense Democrats. We’ve obtained commonsense Democrats in Tennessee. They are having a look at this at Democratic birthday celebration and they’re pronouncing ‘my birthday party left me, and I’m not welcomed there.’”
