Textual content messages sent between U.S. Secret Service marketers on Jan. 5 and Jan. 6 2021 were deleted in what has been known as a pre-planned “tool-substitute program.”

Klippenstein stated:

The Secret Service erased text messages from January 5 and January 6, 2021, in keeping with a letter given to the January 6 committee and reviewed by The Intercept.
