MSNBC host Joe Scarborough misplaced it on Sen. Mike Lee Saturday over his endorsement of former President Donald Trump through which the Utah Republican blithely mentioned he’ll take “the imply tweets” over the policies of President Joe Biden.

Lee joined Fox News host Laura Ingraham Friday to make his endorsement of the Republican frontrunner, claiming that Trump delivered on the promises he made on the marketing campaign trail while in place of work. The GOP lawmaker’s endorsement comes just days prior to the consequential Iowa caucuses.

After that interview, Lee praised Trump much more on X (previously Twitter) and presented it as a decision between inflation and border predicament or “mean tweets.”

“I’ll take the mean tweets,” he wrote. “I make a choice Trump.”

I simply recommended Donald Trump.

Whether you love Trump or now not, Americans face a binary choice.

Biden refuses to enforce our border, prosecutes his opponents, & embraces insurance policies that make lifestyles unaffordable for hardworking American citizens.

I’ll take the mean tweets.

I make a selection Trump. https://t.co/hirfTzUqpH

Scarborough on Saturday tore into Lee for the message, and introduced up both Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis in his reply.

“The mean tweets? Actually? That’s all that bothers you?” the MSNBC host wrote. “What concerning the promises of a dictatorship, the execution of generals insufficiently loyal, the banning of stories shops insufficiently loyal, the jailing of political opponents, the termination of the U. S. Structure, the reward of Communist leaders across the globe?”

The imply tweets? In point of fact? That’s all that bothers you?

He brought that Haley and DeSantis “don’t promise violent authoritarianism. They aren’t tyrants-in-ready. This is not a binary choice and you know it.”

In step with Real Clear Politics, Trump leads each DeSantis and Haley by means of extensive margins at the nationwide level and in key state main elections.
