Former Trump administration authentic Peter Navarro printed on Wednesday that former President Donald Trump paid roughly $300,000 of his legal bills to battle expenses of contempt of Congress.

All the way through a tense interview with MSNBC host Ari Melber, Navarro — who used to be convicted of contempt of Congress this month — revealed that Trump paid “about $300,000” of his felony fees, which were “neatly in excess of six [hundred thousand dollars].”

He endured:

This might be a million-buck case, and Ari, part of the issue here is this lawfare, this belief of that if that you can’t put me in jail, you could at the least bankrupt me. I’m no longer a rich man. I wasn’t some of the wealthy guys in the Trump administration. All I ever did used to be create jobs, store lives, and settle labor strikes, and I assumed I did the honorable productive service to this country, and now I’m caught with a lot of legal payments.

After Melber asked Navarro whether or not he had asked Trump to pay for the $300,000 of criminal bills, Navarro replied, “Sure, undoubtedly. Seem to be, he’s been a rock on this, good enough?”

Navarro went on, “This quibble about what a formal invocation looks like is gonna be an enormous part of appeals for us. Seem to be, our view is, initially, it’s presumptive. 2d of all, every different White House, senior White Home aide that ever acquired subpoenaed with the aid of the Pelosi Congress had privilege invoked. Some bought letters, some didn’t, however it used to be invoked. Nobody ever acquired challenged.”
