Netflix has reportedly backed away from Quick and Unfastened, starring Will Smith, following the actor’s notorious Chris Rock slap throughout the Academy Awards.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Netflix appears to be “understandably wary of shifting ahead” with the movie, which would be a few crime boss who led a double id as a wealthy kingpin and broke CIA agent.

The movie had prior to now misplaced its director, David Leitch, to Common’s manufacturing of Fall Guy, consistent with THR.

It’s unclear whether or not Netflix will transfer forwards with a new superstar and director.

In addition to Quick and Loose, building of Sony’s Dangerous Boys four has been paused, a supply advised THR.

The infamous slap came about after Rock made a funny story about Smith’s spouse, Jada Pinkett Smith’s, baldness. Pinkett Smith has spoken publicly about having alopecia, the situation which led to her baldness.

Smith has publicly apologized for his moves and on Friday resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, calling his behavior “stunning, painful, and inexcusable.”

“The checklist of these I have damage is long and contains Chris, his domestic, a lot of my pricey pals and loved ones, all these in attendance, and global audiences at dwelling,” he said.
