Former President Donald Trump’s own ex-chief of staff wants nothing to do together with his 2024 presidential candidacy.

Mick Mulvaney said on Fox Information stated he’s now not helping his former boss because he’s “now not all in favour of backing a loser.”

Appearing on Friday’s Your World, Mulvaney used to be requested by means of Neil Cavuto if he’d back Trump.

“Would you give a boost to him if he had been the nominee?” the host inquired.

“No,” Mulvaney replied. “I don’t suppose he can win. I’m now not excited about backing somebody who can’t win. He can win a Republican main. Mulvaney went on to assert that in 2020, about 50,000 Arizonans voted for Republican congressional candidates in the normal election however didn’t vote for Trump, who lost the state via fewer than 11,000 votes.

Mulvaney left open the possibility he would alternate his mind.

“Perhaps Donald Trump has a dramatic change between now and November of 2024,” he stated. “Who knows? But as you sit here and seem to be the tea leaves over at this time, you gotta assume he wins that Republican main and loses the general election.”
