Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA) blasted Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) for giving Fox News host Tucker Carlson exclusive get admission to to surveillance pictures of the Capitol rise up.

McCarthy gave Carlson more than forty,000 hours of safety camera pictures from Jan. 6, 2021, when a mob of Donald Trump supporters violently stormed the Capitol and tried to overturn the 2020 election Trump misplaced. “On Nov. 21, 2020, Carlson stated in non-public texts that lies about voter fraud have been – and I quote – ‘shockingly reckless,’ and referred to as the very conspiracy theories he was once promoting on the air as insane and absurd to his colleagues,” McGovern persisted. “He referred to as these propagating the enormous lie – and I quote again – ‘bad as hell.’ He knew that claims the election was once stolen have been dangerous lies.”
