Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) has a podcast now, known as Firebrand. He was joined through fellow professional-Trump stalwart Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), who weighed in on the growing battle within the Republican Celebration — suggesting that House Minority Chief Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) “doesn’t have the votes” to grow to be speaker if the GOP flips the Home in 2022.

Greene’s comments come on the heels of a contemporary record claiming that former President Donald Trump is holding McCarthy on a brief leash, leveraging his fortify for McCarthy’s speakership bid to keep him in line.

CNN’s Melanie Zanona wrote Wednesday that “if Trump were to publicly or even privately come out against McCarthy — or encourage somebody else to problem him — it might virtually without a doubt create a math downside for McCarthy.”

Greene echoed that sentiment with Gaetz, pronouncing, “At this time, from the folks I talked to, he doesn’t have the votes. I feel there’s a door open for a challenger.”

She went even further saying that as a way to support McCarthy someday she would want him to meet particular demands concerning purity within the birthday party.

Greene mentioned she needs Reps. Liz Cheney (R-WY) and Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), who she deemed “traitors” for becoming a member of the Home committee investigating the January sixth rise up, kicked out of the Republican Convention.

Cheney, who was the chairwoman of the conference unless a up to date vote casting off her from GOP Home leadership after he vote to question Trump, has been a vocal critic of Greene.

Gaetz agreed, announcing, “Cheney used to be essentially stripped of her membership in the Republican Birthday Celebration as a result of Republicans in Wyoming are so offended she would even have the nerve to name herself a Republican.”

Greene went on to assert that Rep. John Katko (R-NY), who voted to move the contemporary infrastructure bill, “shouldn’t be a Republican, he’s a Democrat.”

Greene blasted the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), announcing, “The NRCC needs to prevent taking part in this majority-maker sport” wherein the birthday celebration protects and elevates moderates to positions of power on committees.

She went on to indicate that Katko be stripped of his committee roles – which includes Rating Member of the House Place of origin Security Committee. Gaetz agreed, pronouncing he desires “all thirteen turncoats” who voted for the infrastructure invoice stripped of committee assignments.
