Maine Republican gubernatorial nominee and former Gov. Paul LePage threatened to “deck” a Democratic staffer.

The Day-to-day Beast first said the incident on Thursday.

Throughout a campaign stop on Sunday, LePage, who used to be governor of Maine between 2011 and 2019 and is working for a 3rd term, was filmed strolling in the back of a truck, holding what seems to be a doughnut.

LePage tells off the Democratic staffer.

“Get six ft away or I’m going to deck you,” LePage told the staffer as he pointed at the individual at the back of the digital camera. “Come into my space, you’re happening.”

“Enough is sufficient,” he introduced. “Six ft away.”

Maine Democratic Celebration Chair Drew Gattine advised The Daily Beast that LePage “was once, is, and always will probably be a bully.”

LePage’s marketing campaign didn’t reply to a request for remark from the outlet.

LePage has a history of constructing profane remarks.

In 2011, he advised the NAACP “to kiss my butt.”

In a 2016 vile voicemail to Gattine, in response to being called a racist, LePage referred to as him a “cocksucker,” a “son of a bitch” and a “socialist cocksucker.”

Also in 2016, he used stereotypes to describe drug sellers.

“These are guys with the name D-Cash, Smoothie, Shifty, all these guys, they come from Connecticut and New York, they come up right here, they promote their heroin, they go back dwelling,” he mentioned. “By the way, 1/2 the time they impregnate a young, white lady prior to they go away, which is an actual sad thing as a result of then we have now another difficulty we’ve to handle down the highway.”
