Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) ripped into Fox News host Mark Levin on Twitter Tuesday after he said a plot to maintain former President Donald Trump in power in 2020 was no longer “criminal.”

Media Issues hit Levin with a section Monday which chronicled a commentary he delivered on Sunday’s adaptation of Existence, Liberty & Levin.

The piece used to be headlined: “Mark Levin passionately defends Trump’s faux electors scheme: ‘You might assume it’s weird, chances are you’ll think it’s unethical, but it surely’s no longer against the law.”

On his show, Levin argued the scheme was political, and not legal. He said:

That is not against the law both. You could not love it. You could think it’s weird, you may think it’s unethical, nevertheless it’s no longer a crime. In an effort to criminalize politics, to criminalize lots of these things that have long gone on on this united states of america through its history, to completely misunderstand what the Electoral School is all about.

Levin shared the reporting from Media Issues and lashed out at the media watchdog crew.

“Uh, I said it wasn’t prison, assh*les; I didn’t passionately shield it,” Levin wrote. “I don’t understand how much Soros is paying you dolts however your affiliation with him has ruined you clowns forever.”

Levin’s tweet it appears impressed Cheney to get entangled. In a trio of tweets directed at Levin, she invoked the scheme, the Jan. 6 House choose committee’s hearings, and statements made with the aid of former Trump attorney John Eastman.

White Home legal professionals said it was unlawful too. The pretend electoral slates had been clearly false, and have been transmitted to multiple federal officers for functions of obstructing the electoral count. None of that is ambiguous. (2/three)
