President Donald Trump called Savannah Chrisley from the Oval Office on Tuesday to inform her he would pardon her folks, Todd and Julie Chrisley, who were convicted in 2022 of defrauding banks of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
The couple was well-known on reality TV with their show Chrisley Knows Best, but have been sooner or later jailed on expenses related to a couple $30 million in fraudulent loans. Todd Chrisley bought a 12-12 months jail sentence, whereas Julie was sentenced to seven years for the scheme.
NBC News said in February that the couple was once petitioning Trump for a pardon. “They believe that the president will seriously consider pardoning each Julie and Todd Chrisley because of the unfair therapy they obtained in the prison justice machine,” Jay Surgent, an legal professional for the Chrisleys, informed NBC on the time.
Trump White House communications aide Margo Martin shared the second Trump known as Savannah Chrisley, who spoke on the 2024 Republican Nationwide Convention, from the Oval Administrative center. Martin’s post included a bit of of levity, writing, “Trump Is aware of Best!”
Trump has been on a fraudster pardoning spree of late, together with pardoning a Virginia county Sheriff, Scott Jenkins, who had been discovered guilty of accepting more than $75,000 in bribes closing December.
