New York Metropolis Mayor Eric Adams (D) has been accused of sexual assault by using a former City of New York coworker.

The accusation, first suggested by The Messenger, was once made in a legal filing late Wednesday.

“Plaintiff was once sexually assaulted by way of Defendant Eric Adams in New York, New York in 1993 while they both labored for the Metropolis of New York,” the filing alleges.

Adams, at the time, was serving as a captain in the New York Metropolis police department. The transit bureau of the New York Police Department and the Guardian Association of the NYPD were also named in the lawsuit.

Via a spokesperson, the Mayor profusely denied the declare.

“The mayor does no longer know who this particular person is,” the spokesperson advised Fox 5 New York. “In the event that they ever met, he doesn’t bring it to mind. However he would never do anything to bodily harm every other individual and vigorously denies this sort of claim.”

The lawsuit, through which the plaintiff is searching for at the least $5 million, used to be filed just days before the expiration of the Adult Survivors Act — a New York legislation which briefly eliminated the statute of barriers for sexual assault accusers to file legal claims. Sean “Diddy” Combs, Cuba Gooding Jr., and Axl Rose are amongst individuals who have been sued in contemporary days.

In addition to the lawsuit, Mayor Adams is currently the topic of an unrelated FBI investigation having a look into whether or not his 2021 marketing campaign conspired with the Turkish govt in an influence peddling scheme.
