MSNBC’s Joy Reid likened Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) to a Jim Crow leader who needs to make it more difficult for Black people to vote in his state.

The ReidOut host opened Wednesday’s convey via sharing her opinion on the state of the political panorama in Florida.

Reid branded DeSantis as a racist, and in addition likened conservative state lawmakers who reinforce his agenda to “Orwellian” stooges:

Reid complained below DeSantis’ management, Floridians are banning books and forcing “Christian schooling propaganda” on college students in public schools.

She then claimed DeSantis’ motivation is to make it nearly inconceivable for Black folks to cast ballots.

“[There is] a concerted effort to make it as laborious as imaginable for any person who would possibly vote for the out-of-energy party, the Democrats, hashtag, Black folks, to vote, or to have consultant districts,” she said. “Florida’s Jim Crow redux governor Ron Desantis even has his personal office of election crimes.”
