CNN Chief World Anchor Christiane Amanpour fired again at former Fox Information host Tucker Carlson for his strange claim that Western journalists have no longer tried to interview Russian President Vladimir Putin.

On Tuesday, Carlson proudly established in a video posted to Twitter/X that he was going to be interviewing Putin. Why? As a result of whereas “our politicians and media outlets” had been giving Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy their time, “not a single Western journalist has to interview the president of the opposite usa concerned” within the Russian invasion of Ukraine, he defined.

Carlson went on:

Most Americans don’t know why Putin invaded Ukraine, or what his targets are actually. They’ve never heard his voice. That’s fallacious. American citizens have a proper to know all they are able to a few struggle they’re implicated in, and we’ve got the correct to inform them about it as a result of we are Americans, too. Freedom of speech is our birthright.

We are not right here as a result of we love Vladimir Putin. We are right here as a result of we adore america. And we want it to stay affluent and free.

Amanpour begged to fluctuate. In her own tweet, Amanpour known as Carlson’s declare “absurd,” clarifying that a lot of journalists have tried to interview Putin when you consider that he invaded Ukraine:

It must even be referred to that Russia is conserving two American journalists — Evan Gershkovich and Alsu Kurmasheva — imprisoned on doubtful costs and with out trials for reporting from inside Russia.
