State Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce was once informed Thursday of the most important cupboard shake-up involving Mike Waltz and Marco Rubio through a CNN reporter right through a briefing.

Just moments earlier, President Donald Trump announced that Mike Waltz — who had simply been removed from his function as Nationwide Security Adviser — would stay in his cabinet as U.S. Ambassador to the United Countries. In the meanwhile, State Secretary Rubio would assume the position of NSA.

Throughout the briefing, CNN correspondent Kylie Atwood read Trump’s post to Bruce, who then responded that it was the first time she heard the information:
