Former President Donald Trump tried to provide an explanation for why he shared a piece of writing featuring a break up-screen picture of him retaining a baseball bat subsequent to Manhattan District Lawyer Alvin Bragg.

Remaining week, Trump claimed Bragg used to be going to indict him over a hush money payment he allegedly made to pornographic film actress Stormy Daniels the month sooner than the 2016 election. Bragg is reportedly mulling charges that Trump falsified trade information to cover the payment. Trump denies all of this and has not but been indicted.

On his Truth Social platform Friday, Trump shared the article with the controversial juxtaposition of the pictures. After some backlash, he deleted the post.

On Monday, the previous president sat down with Sean Hannity for his first interview on Fox News when you consider that September.

“You mentioned death and destruction,” Hannity stated, referring to another submit wherein Trump warned what an indictment may carry. “The baseball bat image subsequent to Alvin Bragg, and you did take that down. And my best query, why open your self to criticism?”

Trump responded that once he shared the put up, he did not see the picture accompanying the story:

You must remember that when the story used to be put up, I put up a story, we didn’t see photos. We put up a narrative that used to be very exculpatory, very good story from the standpoint of what we’re speaking about. And so they put up a picture of me. And the place I was once retaining the baseball bat? It used to be at the White House. ‘Make The united states, buy The usa’ as a result of I did quite a few ‘Buy The usa’ things, and this was once an organization that makes baseball bats. Then they put subsequent to that picture an image of Alvin Bragg. I didn’t do it, they did it.

Trump went on to criticize a possible prosecution as politically motivated.
