Some reboots are great. The relaunch of Doctor Who in 2005 hugely improved the express’s target audience around the globe and tv series like The Mandalorian introduced the SuperStar Wars universe to a brand new generation of fanatics.

Others are like when Hollywood inexplicably makes an attempt to remake any Audrey Hepburn film. Simply. Don’t.

And then there’s George Freaking Santos.

The man who lied so incessantly that my attempt in January 2023 to chronicle those lies barely lasted a day sooner than it was once old-fashioned was expelled from Congress in December after a damning Ethics Committee report and one of his fellow Republican congressmen accused Santos of defrauding him – and even his mother.

A different election in February for Santos’ replacement in NY-3 was once gained by using Democrat Tom Suozzi, and Santos couldn’t face up to the highlight of Thursday’s State of the Union and showed up, insisting on profiting from the ground privileges afforded to former members of Congress — even though he used to be no longer allowed to soak up a prime seat.

Santos crashing the party wasn’t sufficient spotlight for him and he tweeted throughout President Joe Biden’s speech that he would be running for re-election, this time in a special district.

After taking a swipe at Biden as a “weak, frail president” whom he watched “deliver spin and lies to the American individuals,” Santos complained that he had “made a couple of personal sacrifices in the title of serving the American folks” and vowed he “will never back off as a result of my love for this u . s . a ..”

“New York hasn’t had an actual conservative characterize them considering I left place of work arbitrarily, due to RINO, empty suits like [Nick LaLota],” Santos endured, referring to the Republican congressman in NY-1.

In December 2022 shortly after they had been both elected for the primary time, LaLota used to be among the many first GOP participants to name the House Ethics Committee to investigate Santos’ many false claims, pronouncing, “New Yorkers deserve the reality and House Republicans deserve a chance to govern with out this distraction.”

Santos accused LaLota of being  “keen to chance the way forward for our majority and the future of this us of a for his own political gain,” so “[a]fter a lot of prayer and dialog with my family and friends, I have made an important resolution with a purpose to shake things up.”

Then came the announcement: “Tonight, I need to announce that I will probably be returning to the arena of politics and difficult Nick for the battle over #NY1. I look forward to debating him on the issues and on his weak report as a Republican. The struggle for our majority is imperative for the survival of the united states.”

“God bless you all, and we are off to the races!” Santos concluded.
