In a commentary, the businesses mentioned the vegetation are being built and offered through Recurrent Power, a San Francisco developer of utility-scale sunlight projects that is owned via Japan's Sharp Corp. The deal is valued at $400 million, in keeping with a Google spokeswoman. That features equity investments and debt financing from Google and KKR. The five initiatives in California and one in Arizona will generate 106 megawatts of electricity, or about sufficient to power 17,000 houses.
