‘Give Me a Break, Lady!’ Bill Maher Rips NPR Pres for Calling ‘Crazy Far-Left’ Outlet ‘Completely Unbiased’

HBO’s Bill Maher called out NPR president Katherine Maher – no relation – Friday night after she instructed lawmakers this earlier week her partly subsidized organization is nonpartisan.

The eal Time host referred to as the outlet “loopy a long way-left” and, in line with Maher calling it “unbiased” sarcastically replied: “Give me a smash, girl!”

Republicans on the Home Oversight Committee grilled the heads of both NPR and PBS in a listening to – accusing them of a leftist bias. Both companies receive a few of their funding from the federal govt.

Maher said in her 12 months with NPR, she had “never viewed any occasion of political bias.”

Host Maher challenged his “namesake” on the declare Friday night time.

“I also learn my namesake Katherine Maher — head of NPR — and, you already know, she mentioned, ‘We’re completely independent,’” Maher told his audience. “Give me a break, woman.” He persisted:

I mean, they’re loopy some distance left. All over this previous week’s testimony, NPR’s Maher referred to as her organization “nonpartisan” and admitted editors had fumbled coverage of damming tales about Democrats by using choosing to not cover them.
