A former campaign adviser to Donald Trump stated that from his vantage point on Tuesday evening, distinguished Republican governors and donors weren’t exactly clambering to look at the former president announce some other run.

Appearing on Wednesday’s AC360 on CNN, David City painted an image of apathy toward the announcement at an adventure held with the aid of the Republican Governors Association. He mentioned many in attendance were unaware of his speech.

Addressing an adoring crowd at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, Trump said he’s running.

CNN host Anderson Cooper requested City what he’s heard in regards to the declaration in Republican circles.
