Florida Governor Ron DeSantis shut down a Republican-led effort to pay for former President Donald Trump’s prison bills on Monday, simply sooner or later after he dropped out of the Republican major and endorsed Trump for president.

Reacting on Monday to an effort led by using Florida State Sen. Ileana Garcia to allocate up to $5 million of taxpayer money towards Trump’s felony payments, DeSantis quick shot down the theory.

In a observation, Garcia – who represents Miami-Dade – had argued, “Having a Floridian in the White Home is just right for our state — and the rest we are able to do to give a boost to Florida Presidential candidates, like President Trump, will not only benefit our state, but our nation.”

DeSantis introduced the suspension of his presidential marketing campaign on Sunday, simply days prior to the New Hampshire primary, and recommended Trump over his rival Nikki Haley.

“It’s clear to me that a majority of Republican major voters need to provide Donald Trump some other chance,” stated DeSantis. “They watched his presidency get stymied via relentless resistance and they see Democrats the use of lawfare to nowadays to attack him.”

He persevered, “While I’ve had disagreements with Donald Trump, similar to on the coronavirus pandemic and his elevation of Anthony Fauci, Trump is sophisticated to the present incumbent, Joe Biden. That is clear.”
