Dave Chappelle revealed that he spoke to his attacker following the on-stage ambush and requested him for his purpose.

Chappelle lower back to the stage on Thursday, two days after he was once tackled mid-show, performing a surprise set at Los Angeles’ the Comedy Store.

“I wanted to talk to him,” Chappelle told the gang, in line with The Hollywood Reporter. 

The comedian went on to explain that Los Angeles law enforcement officials allowed him to enter the room the place his alleged assailant was once being held, giving Chappelle an opportunity to ask for the purpose of the attack.

The suspected attacker, identified as 23-12 months-outdated Isaiah Lee, told Chappelle that the assault was once intended to lift awareness for gentrification, as his grandmother was once just forced out of her Brooklyn local.

Chappelle also instructed the gang that Lee appeared to be mentally ill, in line with The Hollywood Reporter. 

Chris Rock, who used to be existing all through the tackle, joined Chappelle on stage Thursday, right through which the two traded on-stage ambush jokes.
