House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D-SC) expressed improve for Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) being stripped of her committee assignments, but mentioned Republican party management should “police Republicans” — now not House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

Democrats have established calls for Boebert to be faraway from her committee assignments as a result of contemporary Islamophobic jokes she made about Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN).

“She is a member of the Republican conference, so it’s no longer the Democratic party’s responsibility to police Republicans,” Clyburn advised Axios on HBO, in an interview that aired Sunday.

“We’ve received a troublesome sufficient job with our own,” Clyburn delivered. “The issue is there’s no management on the Republican side and that’s why these individuals are running willy-nilly, as a result of there’s no one offering them management.”

Boebert presently sits on the Committee on Natural Resources; the Subcommittee on Indigenous Peoples of america; the Subcommittee on Water, Oceans, and Natural world; and the Committee on the Funds.

Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) introduced a resolution that would strip Boebert of her committee assignments; dozens of Home progressives co-sponsored it. Pelosi has no longer indicated whether she intends to bring the resolution to the ground.

Alternatively, Pelosi has made equivalent feedback to Clyburn, telling journalists on Wednesday that “it’s the responsibility of Republicans to discipline their participants.”
