A high political analyst believes there are three “large concerns” which are “clouding” President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign. And he additionally questioned whether or not assisting Biden’s re-election is the “safe play” for Democrats.

In a roundtable segment on Meet the Press, Politico’s Jonathan Martin outlined the problems he sees hovering over the president’s re-election bid — and called out Biden’s lack of effective messaging on all three.

“I feel Biden has basically got three concerns where he’s now not figured out what to assert,” Martin stated. “One is obviously the questions on Hunter Biden, his son. The other is what to claim about the investigations into Donald Trump. And the 1/3 is ready his age. These are three huge issues which might be kind of clouding his reelection marketing campaign. And he’s now not found out what to say about [any of them].”

Moderator Chuck Todd gave the impression to concur with Martin.

“These things has taken a huge toll on him,” Todd stated. He brought, referencing the president’s 39 p.c favorability, “His numbers now seem to be more like Hillary Clinton ’sixteen than Biden ’20.”

From there, Martin puzzled if Democrats are clever to place all their eggs in Biden’s basket.

“The Democratic Celebration … they’re rallying around Joe Biden partially because they imagine that that’s the protected play,” Martin said. “That’s three yards and a cloud of mud — to make use of a seasonal metaphor. However what if that in reality is the riskier option? You showed those numbers right there. The Democratic Celebration thinks that Biden is the safe play. Simply hope for the best. We’ll get throughout the subsequent 14 months. I’m not so positive that that that’s it.”

“I believe that’s that’s what the Dean Phillipses of the world are considering,” Todd brought — referring to the Minnesota Democratic congressman who is calling for different Democrats to leap into the principle in opposition to Biden.
