Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) derided former South Carolina Governor and Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley as “China’s favorite governor” at an event for former President Donald Trump despite having praised her as a “rock megastar’ after Haley recommended and campaigned for Mace after Trump backed a main challenger towards her.

“Nikki Haley is China’s favorite governor,” declared Mace at the event for Trump in South Carolina. “And if truth be told, if she had her way, South Carolina can be manufacturing undercover agent balloons proper here in our state.”

Mace recommended Trump past this month although he backed an almost successful major challenger to her again in 2022 over her criticism of his moves ahead of and all over the January 6 Capitol revolt. At the time, Trump called Mace “crazy” and “a terrible individual.”
