Fox Information’s Bret Baier confronted Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) for criticizing “successful Black Republican politicians” who pushed back towards Florida’s Black historical past curriculum that said slaves “benefitted”  by way of creating skills.

Baier performed a clip of Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) explaining he had a topic with just that “one sentence” and located it “dumb” that the DeSantis team “made this a story.”

“Now, you doubled down and also you said someone saying that’s essentially siding with Vice President Kamala Harris or the Democrats. Is that this a combat price having?” Baier asked.

“We didn’t decide the fight, Bret. Kamala Harris acquired on a jet, at taxpayer rate and flew to Florida to lie concerning the African-American history requirements that had been developed,” DeSantis said.

He went on to accuse the left of lying and creating phony narratives, saying Republicans have got “to chase away.”

“We have heard from the top of that curriculum who could be very articulate about what he used to be thinking. But these are two very successful black Republican politicians who are telling individuals how they feel. However these are two very successful Black Republican politicians who are telling folks how they feel,” Baier stated about Donalds and Gov. Tim Scott (R-SC).

“Do you truthfully assume that they — ” DeSantis began earlier than Baier interjected, “Byron Donalds refers to at least one sentence.”

“OK, however look, to take one thing out of context and mangle it and accept a bad interpretation. I would problem people to learn them, and right here’s the thing. I feel a want to defend my state. If I wasn’t working for president or I wasn’t who I was, nobody would have cared about this,” DeSantis mentioned.
