Gilbert Gottfried Dead at 67 After Battling Long Illness

Actor and humorist Gilbert Gottfried has died at age sixty seven.

Gottfried’s family tested the news in a Tuesday tweet, saying that he passed after scuffling with an extended sickness:

“We’re heartbroken to announce the passing of our loved Gilbert Gottfried after an extended sickness. Along with being the most iconic voice in comedy, Gilbert was once a beautiful husband, brother, pal and father to his two babies,” learn the commentary. “Even though today is a tragic day for all and sundry, please keep laughing as loud as that you can think of in Gilbert’s honor. Love, the Gottfried domestic.”

Gottfried used to be generally identified for his voice appearing roles as Aladdin’s Iago, DC Comics villain Mr. Mxyzptlk, Dr. Bender and his son Wendell on The Somewhat Ordinary Oldsters, the robotic chook Digit in PBS Children’ Cyberchase, and different iconic characters.

Seinfeld’s Jason Alexander, who seemed alongside Gottfried on the sport express Hollywood Squares, was the primary to share the news, offering his easiest needs and sympathy.
