The Colleton County courthouse in South Carolina was evacuated on Wednesday when a bomb threat was once said in the midst of the Alex Murdaugh double homicide trial.

The courtroom was once hearing testimony past in the day for the trial through which Murdaugh stands accused of fatally capturing his spouse and son in 2021.

At round 12:30 p.m. native time, Decide Clifton Newman brought the trial to a halt and had the constructing evacuated.

Reporters heard from native regulation enforcement who proven that the courthouse personnel had bought a bomb chance.

Crowds of people had been considered evacuating from the building and the police are urging electorate to stay away from the realm.
