A trio of young stars are being ripped on Instagram after they butchered a rendition of David Bowie’s 1972 hit “Adjustments” on what would were his 75th birthday.

W Journal enlisted actresses Zendaya and Kiernan Shipka, and singer Willow Smith, to sing the Bowie classic for a video that was once posted on Saturday. The submit went viral, but for all the mistaken reasons.

W posted the video and commented, “In honor of what would were #DavidBowie’s seventy fifth birthday, watch as the celebs deliver a heartfelt rendition of the legendary rocker’s hit song.”

Commenters who watched the video mentioned the rendition didn’t appear in particular trustworthy.

Zendaya and Shipka had been clearly reading the lyrics from a sheet of paper. Smith, for her phase, seemed to recognize the words by coronary heart, however even her interpretation neglected its mark. The top result was a tone-deaf shame, and other people have been unrelenting of their mockery.

One Instagram user commented, “Y’all didn’t even provide them a key to sing in huh?”

Another person wrote, “Where is unsee button?”

Yet another person astutely pointed out, “That is so insulting to David Bowie, on his birthday of all days..”

One commenter bluntly opined, “Bowie is fortunate that he is dead and can’t see this.”

The phrases “painful,” “demented” and “automotive crash” were also hurled at W for posting the atrocity.

Bowie after all passed away six years ago today on the age of sixty nine, leaving tune connoisseurs in a everlasting state of mourning. His unique model of “Modifications,” in all of its glory, will also be heard right here.
