CNN’s Van Jones sat with three Black voters in Greenville, South Carolina and located none of them regretted casting their votes for President Donald Trump.

Seth Dawkins, Detra German, and Kyasia Kraft all voted for Democrats in prior elections, but in the end became their beef up to Trump in 2024.

Dawkins instructed Jones that Trump’s appeal is his “authenticity,” although that “authenticity” is being an “asshole.”

Dawkins referred to the southern border and the economic system as the most important issues for him, disregarding the focus on social considerations as a distraction.

“For me, I just like the border. I just don’t like the idea of someone coming here illegally and getting benefits that can serve my community,” he said.

In the 2016 presidential election, Trump won 8% of the Black vote. That quantity bumped up to 12% in 2020 and 13% in 2024.
