Whereas vacationing on St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands this week amid the border predicament, President Joe Biden had the $7 trillion omnibus invoice sent down so he may signal it, and dodged a query about running for reelection in 2024, a prospect not all Democrats get pleasure from.

As the president was once leaving restaurant in downtown Christiansted on St. Croix Friday evening, newshounds called out just a few questions.

One reporter shouted out, “have you discussed 2024?”

Biden waved and spoke back “Happy New Year” because the journalists continued to talk.

Another asked, “Have you talked to your loved ones about working for reelection, sir?”

The president had indicated his intent to have family discussions over the New Year about the possibility of a reelection bid, CNN suggested on Saturday.

When requested about that on Friday, Biden made a rapid shaggy dog story and avoided answering.

“There’s an election coming up?” he said jokingly.

“Yeah,” the reporter responded.

“I didn’t recognize that,” Biden spoke back smiling.

After airing the clip on Saturday, CNN’s Kevin Liptak clarified that the query isn’t all that unanswered as we head into the New Yr.

“Now, actually, what President Biden’s individuals round him say is that the President has decided that he will run for reelection,” Liptak mentioned. “After all, anything else could exchange his mind within the next couple months, but as of now they are planning for a reelection bid within the subsequent couple months.”
