A handler for Mel Gibson ended an interview the actor was doing with Jesse Watters after the host asked about The Slap at Sunday’s Academy Awards.

Specifically, he asked Gibson if he’d be handled the same approach as Will Smith was after he hit Chris Rock for making a bald joke about his spouse Jada Pinkett Smith.

Will Smith was allowed to remain for the rest of the ceremony and has now not been arrested. On Friday, he resigned from the Academy of Movement Picture Arts and Sciences.

Gibson regarded on Jesse Watters Primetime to discuss his upcoming transfer with, Father Stu, by which he costars with Mark Wahlberg.

“I was once questioning when you had been the one who jumped up out of his seat and slapped Chris Rock,” Watters stated towards the end of the interview as Gibson laughed nervously and waved his hand, “if you would’ve been handled the identical way, Mel.”

“Hey, Jessie?” she said. “Thanks. That’s our time.”

“Have you ever ever thought of that?” Watters pressed.

“Um thank you, Jessie,” stated the disembodied voice. “That’s our time.”

Watters promoted the film and Gibson spoke back, “Thank you.”

Later within the express, Watters learn a text from a viewer asking, “Do you suppose Mel Gibson had any idea who you might be?”

The host sighed. “If I used to be a having a bet man, I’d say no,” he stated. “However I’d like to hope he had an inkling of who he was speaking to.”
