Days sooner than the New Hampshire major, former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson snubbed former President Donald Trump via endorsing his primary rival Nikki Haley.

Hutchinson, who could not acquire momentum and persistently polled in single digits, announced on Saturday that he’s backing the previous South Carolina governor, noting that Trump will not “unite this us of a” as president.

“Someone who believes Donald Trump will unite this u . s . has been asleep over the last 8 years,” Hutchinson wrote in a post on X, previously often called Twitter. “Trump deliberately tries to divide The usa and can continue to do so. Go @NikkiHaley in New Hampshire. #FITN”

Earlier this week, Hutchinson dropped out of the GOP presidential major after inserting in sixth position in the contentious Iowa caucus. All through his candidacy, Hutchinson struggled to qualify for the GOP debates and polled at the backside of the primary.

Hutchinson’s endorsement comes after Haley’s former political alley, Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), who used to be appointed to the Senate over a decade ago by using Haley, announced his strengthen for Trump at a rally in New Hampshire. Scott mentioned in his endorsement speech that Trump can be a president “who will unite our us of a.”

All the way through the early stages of the GOP major, Hutchinson used to be one of the most few candidates to criticize Trump and referred to as on the GOP to move previous the former president in addition to condemn him for the January 6th, 2021 Capitol assault.

Despite the endorsement, Trump still holds a powerful lead in New Hampshire just two days before voters head to the polls with 49.7% moderate support, in line with Real Clear Politics.
