Right through his defamation trial on Wednesday, conspiracy theorist Alex Jones took a “sip” from a cup that was once in fact empty.

Jones used to be discovered responsible final year by a jury that stated he defamed households whose relatives died within the 2012 Sandy Hook Fundamental Faculty taking pictures. This week, a jury is listening to further testimony before determining how so much to award the families.

As a lawyer for the plaintiffs wondered Jones on the stand, Jones reached for a paper cup neighborhood and tilted it rather in his mouth as if to drink from it. He put down the cup and a microphone picked up the faint sound of the cup being placed on the stand and being slid a brief distance. According to the hollow sound, the cup was clearly empty.

And but, the perspective at which Jones tilted the cup in his mouth would point out he might now not have presumably completed the closing of any liquid in the cup.

Exhibit A:

Alex Jones cupgate

This picture presentations the farthest extent to which the cup is tilted upward. As you will see, the cup is at an acute perspective, relative to Jones’ lower lip. But to ensure that him to finish any hypothetical liquid in the cup, he would want to elevate the cup to create an obtuse attitude vis-à-vis his lower lip, with the intention to create a downward slope for any final liquid to empty out of the cup.

For that reason, the one logical conclusion is that Alex Jones picked up an empty cup, no doubt felt that the cup was empty or nearly empty, and but he made a sipping motion anyway – and one that might be woefully insufficient to complete no matter tiny amount of hypothetical liquid could be in the cup.

The only last query is, why did he do that?
