Megyn Kelly encouraged fellow former Fox News host Tucker Carlson to “stroll away” from his settlement with the network and let them “take him to court” following reports that Fox Information may just struggle to keep him off the air except 2025.

The New York Times pronounced on Friday that while Carlson had informed a few folks he used to be desirous about getting back on the air within the close to future, Fox News would have to give its approval as his contract with the network does no longer formally expire unless January 2025.

Former CNN chief media correspondent Brian Stelter noticed on Twitter, Friday that given that Carlson “is subject to a ‘pay or play’ clause,” Fox Information “doesn’t must ‘play’ him on air, they only must pay him for the rest of his contract.”

“That’s what the exit negotiation is about: Will Fox let him out on quite permissive terms?” he puzzled.

Kelly spoke back to Stelter’s publish by way of encouraging Carlson to “stroll away” from his contract with Fox Information and to let the matter be resolved in courtroom.

“Tucker will have to stroll away & forfeit the pay. Let Fox take him to courtroom over the only real issue of silencing him for the rest of the election season (!)-the man they fired & smeared relentlessly while he stayed silent,” she wrote. “See how their dwindling audience repays them for that.”

Kelly — who left Fox News in January 2017 — has again and again criticized the network’s choice to fireplace Carlson in April.

Last month, Kelly pointed out that Fox News had “lost HALF their target market” in the wake of Carlson’s ousting and described its decline in viewership as a “massacre.” On the day of the announcement that Carlson’s show would be taken off the air, Kelly mentioned, “This is a bad move via Fox and it’s a super thing for Tucker Carlson.”

Kelly is just not the one former Fox News star to have criticized the community’s resolution. Former host Eric Bolling accused Fox News of “transferring mainstream” and becoming “CNN lite”, whereas Invoice O’Reilly predicted Fox News’ audience would “reduce” as a result of the transfer.
