More than one staffers who work for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert had been arrested Thursday night and charged with illegal entry at a building near the U.S. Capitol.

On Jesse Waters Primetime Friday, host Jesse Watters broke the information.

Watters reported Capitol Cops were dispatched to the Longworth Home Workplace Constructing at round 8:30 p.m. ET. There, 9 people were considered “roaming” the constructing, he said. The constructing was closed on the time.

Watters additionally pronounced the CBS staffers had been around the places of work of House Minority Chief Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH).

Jake Plunkett; Allison Martinez; Tyrone Dean; Stephen Romond; Nicoletta Green; Brendan Hurley; Robert Smigel; Josh Comers; and David Feldman were all detained. All have been reportedly noted for illegal entry.

Smigel is famous for portraying Triumph the Insult Comedian Dog. Plunkett is a producer and director for the Late Show.

Watters reported the CBS employees had been let into the building via Reps. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Jake Auchincloss (D-MA).

Rep. Rodney Davis (R-IL) joined Watters to substantiate the record. Davis stated,

We just discovered about the arrest today, and I’m going to ensure after we get back to Washington subsequent week, we are going to ask the questions that want to be asked. We will be able to ask the security officers why these arrests had to be made.
